The village of Capel Curig is on
the A5 some five miles west of Betws-y-Coed - the following gives
information on how to get to Capel Curig whilst detail locations of
the various hotels, shops, camp sites etc listed on this site are
provided on each web page

By Road
From the North :
take the M56 and then onto the A55 North Wales Freeway until
reaching the Betws-y-Coed turn off exit
take A470 to Betws-y-Coed
take A5 through Betws for about 5 miles
From the South:
various options are available whether or not time is a factor - the
scenic route is to follow the A5 from Chirk through LLangollen to
Betws-y-Coed and on to Capel Curig
It can be quicker leaving the M6 at junction 16 and then via
Nantwich and Tarporley to get on to the A55 near Chester and follow
the "northern" route above

By Rail
Llandudno Junction is the
nearest main line station to Capel Curig with connections along the
local line to Betws-y-Coed - both are linked by bus to Capel Curig
By Bus
Capel Curig is quite well served
by bus services from all over North Wales, particularly during the
summer months. Additionally there is the "Snowdon Sherpa"
which links Capel to the whole of Snowdonia - particularly useful
for walkers wishing to use Capel as a base for exploring the region
